We are looking at the possibility of a potential relocation from our current address (Tettenhall Road Medical Practice) to West Park Surgery.

West Park Surgery, which is part of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s portfolio, offers benefits such as ample car parking and disabled parking spaces as well as direct access to clinicians such as mental health practitioners, first contact physiotherapists and more.

In terms of distance, West Park Surgery is 0.7 miles away from Tettenhall Road Medical Practice and is well served by public transport (bus no. 1). It is a four minute drive in the car/14 minute walk from our current location.

The team at Tettenhall Road would relocate to West Park Surgery so you’d continue to see the same faces you’re familiar with.

If you move and share a building with other practices, will there be less appointments and longer waiting times to be seen?

Not at all, patients would experience the same service they receive at Tettenhall Road Medical Practice as all the staff would move over to West Park Surgery and the West Park Surgery patients would stay with their current GP.

I don’t drive, how would I get to West Park Surgery?

There are several ways you could travel to West Park Surgery such as public transport (bus no.1), walking, taxi or a lift from a friend/relative.

I am housebound, would someone still be able to come and see me at home?

Yes, our PCN home visiting team cares for patients across all nine of our GP practices so this service would continue, and we would advise you to follow the usual process (calling the practice and pressing option number 1 or stating so on your Total Triage form).

What do I need to do?

You wouldn’t need to do anything in preparation, we would keep all our patients updated throughout the process, for example, letting them know the surgery closing date etc.

What will happen to my medical records?

As Tettenhall Road Medical Practice and West Park Surgery are both part of the RWT Practices contract, your records would be readily available as soon as the surgery moves. 

Will I still be able to see my usual GP or clinician?

Yes, the staff would all transfer across to West Park Surgery so you would continue to see the same healthcare professionals.

Will there be adequate parking at the new location?

Yes, there’s more car parking spaces and disabled car parking spaces are also available.

Will the new location be accessible for disabled people or those with mobility issues?

As mentioned, the practice has disabled car parking spaces as well as accessible entrances.

What if I don’t want to continue being a patient at this practice?
